    better speaker cable

Bought a 2.1 sys at a computer fair years ago('bout 97-98). It's got a 500watt sub and cost me £30 at the time. It has always sounded brilliant to me and never had any probs with it so never thought of upgrading it.

The satellites are connected to the sub via a plug in the back of the speaker(like the std red/white plugs you get but only a single plug) and on the other end, the bare wire splits into pos/neg and goes into the sub. Wouldn't mind upgrading the cables but don't know if you can get anything similar.

    any ideas?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

Can I ask why you want to upgrade the cables? With that setup it won't make ANY difference

Unless you want to extend them ... your best bet is to simply extend the bare wire end. Just take some more decent gague cable (or not, lol) and solder it to the bare ends.

BTW - Hate to break it to you but the sub won't be 500Watt check the power consumption on the back ... if it was really 500Watt you'd be looking at least 380-400Watt power consumption.

    I know it's not 500 watt. That's 500watt peak but realistically I know it's only prob about 200 watt.

I only wanted to upgrade the std cable as though it might give better signal from sub to satellites.

If it was really 500W, you'd be looking at something more than 500W power consumption, otherwise it's a free energy device...

It won't make a blind bit of difference mate. And that sub won't be 500 watts
