How do i remove partitions from a sata drive

How do i remove partitions from a sata drive so that it is then just 1 drive letter?

I'm using xp home. Thanks

I would say use partition magic, makes life really easy, other than that you can boot up into dos and use FDISK to add and remove partitions. However using FDISK will completely remove the partitions and you will lose all the data that you have so go with one of the partitioning programs like what I mentioned

Hi, and thanks for the quick reply, but there will be no data on the drive i just want it to be a virgin drive

You'll have difficulty seeing it in DOS being a SATA drive :)
If the XP home CD is more or less the same as pro on the setup stage then boot off the disc, and when it asks you to "press F6 to install 3rd party SCSI or RAID drivers", press F6 and wait for ages. It will then ask you to insert the floppy. Do so and go to the stage where it asks you where to install and XP has some basic partitioning stuff there - press d to delete partitions etc.

If you can boot off another drive install your SATA drivers on XP and then use the disk administrator (right click my computer, sleect manage)
