    Exclamation Over working HDD

HDD always sounds busy even when machine idles! Is it the memory which is crap? is it trying to compensate?

    Spyware? virii? trojans?

If not, do you have any defrag software installed that may have a "defrag when idle" option?

Could it be one of those Desktop Search programs, like the Google one, or maybe XP's indexing service?
