msn messenger
Hello Hexus members and Administrators. This is my first post and sorry if it sounds like a nooby question. Well, my problem is that I installed Msn Messenger 7.0 beta and wanted it to start upon Windows start up. When I go into Windows, it does not come up. So I checked my settings so that it can start upon start up. The boxes are checked and turned off my computer. When I turn it back on, it still does not come up. I need it to come up so that my Norton Anti-Virus can work poperly. (When Msn messenger does not come on upon start up, My Auto-Protect is disabled and I cannot re-enable it. And so is my e-mail scanner says "Error" beside it). Anyone have any suggestions? This is my first time i this forum so I hope you can give the solutions I need. Thank you.

roll back to 6.2 until 7 is out of beta, personally i don't do beta because of probs just like yours.

I have the beta version and it seems to load up fine. Did you have a prev version that worked ok? try uninstalling the beta version and then re-installing it. Normally it sets itself up to start automatically.
If that doesn't work, go back to the prev version that worked.
btw, I have same prob with auto-protect and e-mail scanner also has error and I can't re-enable it either. Weird.

1 Go to run and type in: msconfig
2 Go to the startup tab
3 Find msmsgs and make sure the box is checked
If it is then i would go back to 6.2 or try reinstalling 7.0 BETA
