how do I get windows setup to recognise my SATA drive?

Just installed my new sata drive and want to install windows on it(then format my existing drive which has windows on it - would prefer a clean install rather than ghosting it over). Bios and windows recognise my sata drive but windows setup does not, it only recognises my 2 IDE drives. Any ideas?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

You need to press F6 during windows installation setup, setup will then ask for drivers disk. There should be a utility on your Asus motherboard cd to create a floppy disk called makedisk, on my disk it's located in D:\Drivers\Promise\378RAID (where D: is my dvd drive) for the promise raid drivers and D:\Drivers\VIARAID\6420RAID\DriverDisk for the via raid drivers.
