y o y wont ez-flash bios upd8 work

well basically im very new to the whole computer buildin thing and am having problems gettin my bios to update.. i have a asus A8V and am tryin to use the ez-flash...... ive switched of boot sector security, formated the floppy put the latest bios on it pressed alt+f2. system finds the A8V.ROM file.. then says failed to flash! y-o-y?? AFUDOS wont worked either.. probably something simple

Download the AWDFlash tool from here along with the bios ZIP...http://www.asus.com.tw/support/downl...A8V-E%20Deluxe

Format he floppy with the system disk checked. Extraxt Awdflash to the disk and bios Bin file then boot from your floppy, type the name of the bin file in then confirm you wish to flash

Note I'm asuming you have the Deluxe..If not you'll need a different bios file

I don't know why you want to flash your Bios, but it should only be done if it addresses an issue you are experiencing, otherwise you are taking a risk for no benefit.
