Best software for recording MD->PC via SPDIF In?

    Hi,

Pretty much as the title suggests i'm looking to transfer some old band session stuff recorded on minidisc to my pc for a friend, i'm using my minidisc seperates deck to connect to optical in on my Abit IC7 mobo. I get playback through the pc speakers but i'm having problems actually recording this input.

So i'm looking for suggestions for a good piece of recording software that accepts SPDIF optical In as a line input to record as Wav/MP3 etc..

    Thanks for your help

    bres

Nevermind, all sorted now, used RecordPad (far from the best but it worked enough) in the end and just had to tweak a few things in the properties for sound and audio devices via control panel.

    cheers anyway

I use AudioGrabber quite a bit. Appart from being the second best ripper (after EAC) It has a good line in sampling facility (choose the source from the mixer).

It will do everthing you want and it's also freeware
