Windows 11 Screen Timeout

This is starting to drive me around the twist.

Windows 11, all updates. I set screen timeout to 2 hours and it saves no problem, can check it 10 mins later and still says 2 hours then about half hour later its returned to 15 minutes again.

Anyway else have this issue? It never used to do it but nothing has been updated lately

Which power plan are you using?
Also is this on a Laptop?

Desktop PC, balanced plan.

If you haven't already, try changing the power plan to another one, or create your own, making all the changes you need.

Some motherboards and laptops alter powerplans. Some maybe caused by chipset drivers, others may be altered by a utility.
If you happen to have a Ryzen 5000 series, the chipset driver no longer generates a custom powerplan and might be altering your Windows balanced power plan.

Yeah tried other powerplans, I have had the same plan since Windows 11 came out, its only been in the last week or so its been changing itself. It is so bizarre

You could try setting the option within in Group Policy - this may stop whatever else is changing it

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Power Management > Video & Display Settings


The only bug I've experienced with Windows 11 so far has been Audio related. Oddly introduced on an update, then fixed a month later.
