Why not see if one of the local primary schools or nurserys want it, might be just the thing as most of the educational software doesnt need much power to run it

For my company when we need to get rid of older kit we use a company called Schools connect, basically they will come and pick up your old IT equipment free of charge and take it away then distribute it to to under privilaged school's around the UK. Can't recomend them enough as they will come anywhere in the country (and to our office in Dublin) to pick up the equipment and it's such a good cause.

We have recently upgraded all of our company desktop PC's and monitors to P4's with 17 inch tft's in all of our 25 or so offices around the UK and ireland, and so since xmas have given Schools conenct around 1200 PIII 733's plus about the same amount of 14 inch monitors all of which go to help schools in the most needy area's instead of being dumped.

If anyone elses company are doing anything similar I'd recomend you get in touch with them. Their website is http://www.schoolsconnectonline.co.uk/aboutus.htm

Well we've given them P1 machines that ran at 133 before, not sure they'd collect only 1 pc but they will any equipment and if it doesn't work or has absolutly no value then will dispose of it to EU guidlines. Christ knows how mych it would have cost us to get rid of 1200 pc's and monitors without them

    www.freecycle.org

Bung it on the London Freecycle group and I reckon you'll have no difficulty at all getting someone to come and pick it up.

What's wrong with the simplicity of a hammer?

Your PC that you are going to build, it says that you are buying a 3500 CPU for just £78 from Savastore
