6800 ultra messed up? or what?

I am really freaked out right now... As you may know I have a thread about how I cant play games on my PC with windows XP 64 bit. Well I just instaled 32 bit again and I still cant play games!!!! What hapens is, I load any game and as soon as I start to play the games goes all gitery, like the game was paused and sound stops! THen it works for a second then stops then the game and PC freezes!!!!!!!!!! What could cause this? I dont know where to begin trouble shooting...

Try different drivers if you have changed them from the last time you had a working 32bit OS.

Also, try taking out anything that's not critical, such as PCI cards, so you know they're not causing the problem.

Oh dear Creative products & drivers causing screw ups again, I'm afraid this type of thing is nothing new. You also might try puting the card in another slot if you can.

It wasn't in the bottom PCI slot of that K8N plat 2 was it ? I've heard (albeit totally unconfirmed) reports that this slot has been the cause of problems for other people
