    Partition Fun - Help Me get dual boot!

    First question. Is it possable to add a partition to your boot drive using P magic.

    Second QuestionL How, ive tryed a few thing to no avail. I really want to set up a dual boot but dont want to formatt the whole drive.

    dual boot what and what?

    and partition magic can resize one partition smaller and create a new one in the empty space (success rates are maybe about 90%, back up your data)

    Ive got an xp install atm on my drive. Want to stick suse on as well, you can do that cant you?

    the suse installer should be able to split partitions for you, it'll certainly set up a dual boot alongside existing OSes on the system

    Would it be able to do that without distroying the data on the HD at the moment.

    maybe. i've not used suse in any serious capacity, but it's fair to say that ntfsresize under linux is no more likely to eat your data than partiton magic (which has gone wrong for me before). a scandisced, defregged drive tends to resize smoothly.

    I might keep cowering untill i can aford a new harddrive.
