Dead Motherboard!!!
Booted up my system this morning, fans kicked in etc but nothing, no boot up etc.
Opened the case up, rebooted and heard a clicking sound, removed the hard drives, still got the clicking sound.......closer inspection it seems to be coming from the battery
Has anyone experienced this or got any advice?
Motherboard is - Gigabyte GA-8I915P-MF

Last time that happened to me it was my gfx card that had died.I was sure it was my mobo (nf7-s)so I bought another and when I installed that the same thing happened. It was my brand new rad x800 that had died...
Do you get any bleeps?Does your monitor light stay amber?

By battery do you mean PSU? If so, what brand and wattage do you have?

Tried the graphics card in another system, worked fine.
As for what PSU, it's a X-PRO 460W Silent Power Supply.
I'm going to replace the cmos battery, as that is where the clicking what coming from.

A clicking battery 0.o I would look beside or underneath the motherboard where the battery is located as the batteries have no moving parts so I don't understand a click from the battery. Have a look at the capasitors around that area, one maybe or might have blown.
