    File Associations

I have recently bought myself a canon scanner, it works fine etc., but what I've just noticed is that the association of jpeg's has changed from photoshop to the more recently installed canon scanner software. this is visible when you move the mouse over the image file.
I have been into the 'folder options>file types' to see if that makes any difference, I made a change or two but it still says 'Omnipage Image Document'...
wtf? how do I get it back to 'Photoshop image document' as it was before? it seems like Windows is assigning the most recent program to image files. how can I stop this and correct the current error?
    thanks in advance

Right click any JPEG > Open with... > Choose Program > Choose Photoshop, then click always use this program.

As far as I can work out from your 1st post, I don't think you've done that.

I have a canon printer, and that omnipage thing came with it as well. Either it asked for a change of file configuration during installation that I said no to, or I've since changed it, because all my JPEGs open in windows picture viewer.

Are you sure there isn't an option within omnipage about the file assosiations?
