    Lost Router IP

The ip of my router is 192.168.1.1 apparently, but it no longer seems to work, and i cant get into it anyway

I know it works, as I get a wireless connection from it but i cant get into it to configure it, is there any sort of app that can scan my network and find out what its IP is ?

Tried resetting it, some reason it still hasnt reset to default

Sometimes with wireless you can get a lingering connection untill you renew the IP.

Try restarting the router (power off then back on)

Are you using a USB dongle? I've had problems with my USB dongle under win98. It takes about 10 minutes to get connected properly after I turn on computer.
If you have an ethernet cable try connecting to the router with that first.

Need to hold the reset in for a good 30 seconds on them (with the power ON of course). And then power off and on to complete the reset.
Do a tracert to any web address from the command prompt ie > tracert 66.123.234.1 and the next step after your rigs ip will be the gateway/router address.
Failing that get a net scanner such as (free) tcpview or tdimon, plenty around.
