any distrubution of Linux and PPPOE

I've been fooling around with Linux for the past month and I've been having trouble getting connected via a PPPOE ADSL connection at the office.

I've tried various distrubtions and the only one that I managed to get going was Suse 9.3. Every other distrubution just doesn't want to connect. I've tried various different ways to connect but all with no luck.

I live in Kyoto, Japan and use an NTT modem so I guess thats the problem. Anyone have enough experience to help me out?

In my estimation Suse is one of the best overall distro's anyway. I've used it for years & it suits my needs just fine.

Am not an expert on PPPOE but of the several distributions I have tried Mandrake was the one that has given the best all round connectivity.
