    AVI Format & *.idx,*.sub subtitles...

    Hello.

I got a Japanese Anime in *.avi format (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind – Wariors of The Wind) & it also came with an *.idx & a *.sub file, which I presume must be the English subtitles.

They have the following file names:

    Warriors of the Wind 1984.avi
    Warriors of the Wind 1984.idx
    Warriors of the Wind 1984.sub

I played the *.avi file in WinXp Media Player 10 but I couldn’t get the subtitles working.
How can I enable the subtitles in WinXP Media Player 10 or what other media program will I need that supports these file types?

    Thanks in advance.
