PC Boot Up

Hi,

Ages ago I was having a problems with my PC (kept crashing as soon as I tried to run anything) and one of the methods I used to try to resolve the problem was to re-install windows. The problem with this was that the computer would crash before it could start installing.

In the end it turned out it was the processor, but now whenever I start up my PC, I get the option to run Windows XP or to run the installation. Its been quite a while now since this has been happening and I am quite bored of standing over my computer every time I boot it up because by default it chooses the installation option and I have to restart the PC if goes into this mode.

So my question: Is there a way to either:
a) Remove the install windows option or
b) Change the default option so it chooses to run windows instead.

Go into "system" in control panel then on the advanced tab click on settings in the Startup and recovery options.

From here either reduce the time it displays the operating systsm list or click edit and delete the line which looks something like "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Install windows" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn" ask if your unsure.
