What hardware do you use to connect to the internet? The router in my house means that I have to change the DNS every time I reinstall Linux.

Cheers, I have a very similar problem to you, my router reports the connection to be working and connected, but nothing works, happens after a game of CS, or sometimes offline games, but mainly ones which access the Internet for some reason or other while you play. I normally have to restart my computer, which kinda sucks. I'll try your method next time
