Glad to see the last two posters are producing high quality posts so that they can get to 500 (just a little joke!)

But how is loyalty measured? I can visit this site many times and be 'loyal' and post as and when I have useful information to provide but as everyone has different knowledge 500 posts can be virtually inhibitive to some and easy to others but both parties are 'loyal'.

I could make posts but then again how often would this be and the same could be true that 500 is excessive imo.

Why not reduce the level to 100 and limit avatar size for instance?

I agree with you geezerone at the fact that not everybody is as knowledgable as everybody else and so its harder for them to make 500 constructive posts, but really, is an avatar THAT important?

Avatar size is limited to 100 * 100 pixels once you earn one. At the end of the day its not really that important, weather you have an avatar/sig/custom user title or not your still treated with the same level of respect on the forums, yes they are nice things to have but certainly not essential.

At the end of the day whatever you or I may think about the limits imposed on these things, its not our decision to make, its the Admin team and ultimately David that decide what goes on, personally I think its a fair limit, 500 posts isn't a huge number by any means, I've earnt an avatar twice now (there was a forum crash in 2003) and they appear alot quicker than you think.
