How do I get a percentage of a pie chart? (Need help ASAP again please)

OK, I got a ton of figures, which I've put into a Pie Chart (via M$ Excel), anyway.

I got the pie chart sorted, but my incredibly ignorant maths teacher wants the legend to show percentages, which at the time I just thought ok fair enough, he said It's 360 divided by the frequency, so say I have the number 2, I get 180, well obviously 180 can't be the answer, and it just doesn't make sense doing it that way anyway, or I'm doing something wrong... so can anyone help please?

    Thanks

Right click on your pie chart - chart options - data labels tab - tick the percentage box

I think your teacher was trying to say that it is the angle of your pie wedge, divided by 360. That gives the relative amount as a fraction, so multiply by 100 to get the percentage.

i.e if your wedge is 90 degrees, then it is 90/360 = 0.25, or 25%

But getting Excel to do it is easier!
