ps2 on my pc ?????? help please

    hi all,

wondered if anyone can help, im trying to hook up my ps2 to my pc so as i can play via my pc monitor, ive pluged the ps2 video output (yellow plug) into the s-video input of my graphics card (radeon x800xt) via an rca to s-video adaptor but am getting no signal ?????
can anyone tell what im doing wrong ???? also would it be possible to go straight into the monitor at all, my monitor has both digital (which im using from my graphics card) and analogue inputs.

    thanks for any help offered

The graphics card sockets are outputs only.

Instead the solution from the second post (multi use xga boxes) are ideal as some electronics store use them to hook up a promotional DVD running off a DVD to a monitor (that they sell.) Otherwise a TV card would also do. Just make sure you buy an analogue one (not digital) or even a hybrid one.

You can get these from £20!

No reason why not as long as you have a TV card capable of recieving analogue signals and a phono input if you're using composite cable or through the RF / Aerial Connector.

I wouldn't recommend a TV card, most cards usually suffer from ~2secs lag.. which makes console gaming impossible (My 9800AIW had no lag though.. but i've tried 3 diff tv cards after changing to pci-e and had no luck)

Fortunately for me, I upgraded my screen to a 24" Dell WS TFT, which comes with s-video and composite inputs.. solved my probs

I couldn't get my PS2 to look anything but utter garbage on my Dell2005FPW. Did you have to change any settings on your Dell ??
