    Check your extensions - Blind guess, but I'd say it might be Web Developer, it caused crashing problems with Gmail if I left the toolbar enabled. Now I only switch it on as needed.

    At least 80% of the problems I've come across with FF can usually be tracked back to misbehaving extensions...

    could be extensions related.. you could try na complete fresh FF re-install to see if that fixes it1:
    1 ownload Firefox.
    3. Clear your cache.
    4. Close Firefox.
    5. Backup your "Profiles" directory to somewhere safe.
    6. Uninstall Firefox.
    7. Delete the Firefox program directory (which should be optionally deleted during uninstall, but check to make sure)
    8. Delete the Firefox "Profiles" directory (making sure your backup is still safe).
    9. Install Firefox 1.0, and let it launch.
    10. When the "Import Wizard" launches, select "Don't import anything" and then click "Next".
    11. Let Firefox continue to launch.
    12. Set your the Options the way you want, (such as how long history is kept, and how to handle cookies).
    13. Close Firefox.
    14. Copy these files* into your freshly created profile directory:
    * bookmarks.bak
    * bookmarks.html**
    * cert8.db
    * cookies.txt
    * formhistory.dat
    * history.dat
    * key3.db
    * signons.txt
    15. Install Java: JRE 5.0 Update 5 ("Offline Installation" recommended)
    "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications"
    16. Start Firefox
    17. Install your other extensions and themes one at a time (restarting Firefox after each)
    but MAKESURE you back your profiles directory up (check the knowledge base for how to do this.. otherwise you'd lose loads!)
    AMD3000+ ATIX800XL + GBNF44x mobo.. all at stock because they're good enough atm + CA A1 amp-->Mission 73S Loigtech MX1000 + 1GB ram + 1/3 TB HD array
    Wintendo XP + Linux (when it works) .. just incase you were wondering

    I have had some issues with 1.5 beta - normally not allowing me to post at Hexus (is my browser hinting at something ) otherwise it is fine.

    I have found with ff that when updating i.e from 1.06 >1.07 etc, that it's best to uninstall the whole shebang. Follow Alterion's suggestions and all should be well.

    I have never had problems before I upgraded to FF 1.0.7, and now it crashes regularly when I come to Hexus forums, nowhere else on the web, just here. It's weird I know, but it is happening. I will do an uninstall and reinstall of FF when I get time and see if it cures the problem.

    I'm guessing your on windows by the advice others have given, if so, try Internet Explorer, its more secure, and renders more pages how the idoits who made them expect them to render.

    Try copying the information that is given about firefox when it crashes, ie, modules, the error thats occuring.

    shouldn't matter as you REALLY should run your browser as a different, lower power'd user

    (ie add a user, with just user, ban it from all files but those you need, then use a short cut to IE, and then click advanced, set it to run as that user).

    Ok, complete uninstall of FF 1.0.7, reinstalled, same problems. This message is coming to you from Opera as I cannot bring myself to use IE6 . Is no-one else really experiencing these problems??? It only started happening after the little redesign of the forums last week.
