Getting my waterblock off my cpu!!!

Well i cant. I managed to change the mobo a few months back, with lots of swearing and a couple of bent pins on the cpu. Block came out with chip attached!!! Im using an AMD 64 3800 (Newcastle core). I am thinking about upgrading my watercooling solution, but need to work out how to get the waterblock off. The tim i used was nanotherm. Anyone got any ideas?

First of all make sure that you didnt use thermal compund that is meant for ram chips as it bonds to whatever you stick it to, what did you use?

Hmm well, you might be able to get it off by putting it in a little freezer bag, then popping it in your freezer for about 1 hour. Take a flat head screwdriver to it and try prizing it off.
