I think you have to change the settings on the set point software that you ge with your mouse (mouse button setiings).
On mine number 7 says forward and number 8 says back.

This comes up quite a bit with the mx1000. Here's how to do it.

Open SetPoint > Highlight button #7 (forward) > under "select task" click "other" (bottom most one) > click the grey "select function" button and highlight "generic button".

    Repeat for button #8 (backward)

The SetPoint 2.40 drivers should work with Firefox without having to make the changes iranu posted.

The back/forward buttons have always worked fine for me, till I recently installed setpoint. Since then, they never worked with firefox but ok with everything else which has really bugged me. Anyways, just tried that, and worked a charm.. thx

I seemed to have lost the mapping/setting on my mx1000 i have tried uninstalling/reinstalling but cant get them back! I think it may of been something to do with ccleaners registry fix as i recall i removed a few logitech entries but failed to back up the settings! Any ideas guys?
