    Sorting my own hosting

    Hi guys

Can anyone quickly advise the best way to link up a seperate domain name and hosting so that the domain obviously links to the host site, and also if I buy say www.urmum.co.uk, who serves the email@urmum.co.uk , the domain people or the hosting people?

    Thanks

i use www.dnspark.co.uk, i find their site very easy to use and also my hosts site control panel didnt work (never ever ever use registerfly)

the hosting people serve the domain email, altohugh you will need to set up MX records in your domain CP.

I use Registron to manage my domains, simple and cheap to register new domains. Hosting from Web-Mania.

If you want to use two different companies for hosting and buying the domain name, you simply need to make sure that you have given the company you bought the domain name from the nameservers of the hosting company. Once you've done that, and waited up to, and possibly beyond, a couple of days, going to the address should lead you to whatever you've stored on with the hosting company.
