    Question USB 2.0 Not Enabled

Hi, I recently had to format my hard drive as it just died. Installed Windows etc fine and got it up and running. I then downloaded various updates using the Windows Update service and amongst everything it downloaded Service Pack 2.

Now before the format I had USB 2.0 capability. But since then even with the Service Pack 2 installation I havn't.

Is there anyway I can download the drivers for USB 2.0? I've been searching around on the Microsoft website and it just says I would have got them with Service Pack 1. Service Pack 1 cannot be downloaded from their website anymore.

    Please help?!

    Thanks!

Service Pack 2 includes all the updates from Service Pack 1... what do you mean by "you dont have USB 2.0 capability"?

When you plug in USB things does it say ' this device would work faster in a usb 2 port'?

Have a look in the bios to see if usb 2.0 is enabled perhaps?

Otherwise can you post a screenshot of your Device Manager (rightclick 'my computer' -> properties, then hardware, devicemanager) with the USB tab open?

Find the manufacturer of the motherboard and you may be able to get USB2 drivers from them, or from www.driversguide.org (I did without even having any service packs installed.)
    Woohoo now Assistant Manager!

Thanks for your help guys. I went into device manager and updated the driver that way - and it actually worked for once!

    Cheers.
