    is this runnable??

    GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC4000 Ultra Platinum CAS2.5 (GL1GB4000DC) (MY-021-GL)


    i would like to run this ram on this board

    Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-087-AS)

    if so what do i have to do as recomended is pc 3200?
    is this still ok?

    i believe it should be ok, I am fairly sure the RAM will just run underclocked, untill you overclock, if you do not overclock then getting this faster RAM will be fairly pointless unless it is cheaper

    A8N-SLI cannot run ram at this kind of speed (Even my PC4600 ram cannot run at rated speed) I have tdifficulty trying to get ram running higher than DDR500 stable (when my ram Ran at 600 on DFI) Now I had to resort to a 266 Divider which bring my ram back to DDR400

    The PC4000 will simply go to the speed of PC3200. You can try raising it up to its full guaranteed speed once you get inside the BIOS, whether in sync or not with the CPU.

    Also, if you're not planning on overclocking your system, it would probably be better to go for some PC3200 memory with CAS 2.0 timings, rather than the slower CAS 2.5 ones mentioned above.
