    TV-Out Issue with HTPC

I have had my HTPC running happily for just over a year now and I havent had any problems with anything TV-Out related. Today, I decided to put a new graphics card in the machine. I replaced the Ti4600 that was in it with a FX5950 Ultra.

Having messed around with the TV-Out for a couple of hours, trying all sorts of combinations and all sorts of driver versions I found 2 scenorios:

    1. I managed to get a really sharp picture on the TV, but only in black and white. This was using a composite connection.

    2. When I tried using just a s-video cable, the picture on the TV was in colour, but the picture quality was very "grainy". Nothing I tried seemed to have any effect on this.

Any advice on this problem would be grately appreciated. If I can manage to get the sharp picture in colour, that would be great!

The s-video out on my Ti4200 was grainy and horrible, whereas on my 9800 Pro (and the 6800le I had for a while) the picture is pretty sharp.

S-video will never be superbly sharp, and composite's worse.

I had an issue like this with my FX5500, and a driver update from Nvidia solved it...but hmm..

Thanks for the replys. After frantically searching the internet, I came across a solution. Apparently it was a driver issue, reverting back to the 56.72 Dentonators sorted everything. The picture and colour quality is now superb!

    Thanks again
