4 pin fan to 3 pin mobo

    Hi

This is probably a stupid question but I couldn't find the answer after an hour of looking. I've just bought an XP-90RT and a ASUS A8N-VM mobo. The 90RT fan has a 4pin connector but the mobo only has 3 pins.

Is it ok to use it like this and if so, which 3 pins do I use?

Either power it off the PSU or use a 3-pin to 4-pin adapter.

Thanks for the reply but its not a molex connector though. Its like a normal 3 pin connector that goes to the motherboard but this one has 4 pins. Arent these very common?
