Has anyone had one of these boards yet, if so, have you had any problems installing the audio drivers for the on-board sound?
the board is great other than the audio problems i have encountered,
i have alredy looked on the Asus website and i have the same driver as on the support pages.
any help greatly appreciated.
Sorry I know it's not very helpful to you, but if you're in the UK can I ask where you got the board from? I'm planning getting one myself very soon but haven't seen them on sale anywhere I usually buy stuff online...
Regarding your sound issue, if you know who makes the onboard sound unit maybe try their own website. Some of the onboard components on my A8V Deluxe have more up to date drivers on their own vendor's websites than on the Asus site.
@ 8bit, i got mine from Scan
@ PD HEXUS, every time i try to install the drivers from the m/b disc, it tells me that
"the audio driver files do not support the hardware"
bearing in mind that i have tried the drivers from the disc, i have downloaded the drivers direct from the Asus website and i see no options in the bios to turn off or on onboard audio.
i could always use my old SB live but, whats the point in cluttering up the inside of a nice quiet cool puter when i have onboard sound
