    Sound troubles

    Yes, I have another problem.

Okies, did a complete Windows reinstall today (XP).
Sound was fine beforehand, in all scenerios.
After re-install, I installed the AC97 drivers for my onboard sound (MSI K8N Neo 2).
I get sound when running Audio Demos in the MSI sound effect tool, but in BF2, there is nothing at all - just silence. Media Player gives me an error message.
However - this is just in a user profile that I use for games. For general use (like right now) I have a seperate account, and it all works fine!

    What is going on?

uninstall the drivers and reinstall, I would suggest u make sure ur system is fully patched and up to date with system and OS drivers. Also check the volume levels, sometimes audio demos set levels themselves seperate from the system, not sure wot the MP error is, post more info and I might be able to help better m8

Righty ho, I can't get the MP error any more, but sound still fails to work.

it is absolutely fine for one user, no problems, another user it only works for system sound and sound demo. The volume is on.

    Any ideas?

Have you checked the default sound playback device for the user that isn't working? I believe that's a per user setting but don't quote me on that.
