cba or not got the funds?
Also you have to consider any bottlenecks in your system eg the CPU so tell us the rest of you system spec.
Basically the ultra is the batter card (speed wise) but i dont think it is in production anyomore but you could get the last bit of stock if you are lucky or mabe a second hand one?
The GS is just under the speed of a 6800gt for some comparison (its a very small ammount of difference)

Tbh, a 9800Pro should alraedy give u decent fps in CSS... Even my wife's 9600XT plays CS:S on 1280x1024 quite well without AA.
but from an Ultra and a GS, the Ultra is definitely faster out of the box. But unless if you can find one second hand and ON BARGAIN price like £180ish, I wouldnt even go there.
There are however still a good amount of 6800GT AGP out there that are going for £180inc or less new. GT has been the choice of gamers as it clocks to 6800Ultra very easily.
GS on the other hand, are manuf using newer .11micon process. Hence, even with only 12pp it clocks very high. It can in most cases overtake a stock ULTRA in terms of performance when overclocked.

grab a 6800GT of ebay and clock it past ultra speeds with an artic cooler hsf, plenty of grunt for AGP. Or just hold on fow a few weeks, apparently some of the 7800 level cards are coming to AGP
