Power LED flashes when pc gets plugged into mains

My parents have just got a new pc from Evesham and it is fine, Except for when it the plug is inserted into the mains socket, even if the socket is switched OFF the power LED flashes. Ive tried different power leads, different sockets etc but it still does it. It does it as soon as the earth pin (top one) of the plug is inserted into the plug socket.

I was wondering if it could be just a small residual charge in the psu or something. Is it an issue that needs worrying about or not? The other computers in the house don’t have the problem.

    Thanks peeps

Does it do this permanently or just for a short while? If the latter (as I suspect) then you've hit the nail on the head. If the former I have absolutely no idea!

Yep it just flashes for a very short time (less than a second)

Nothing to worry about in that case - I'd say it's the stored charge in the capacitors draining or summink like. A few PCs I've built have done just that.
