    Monitor Problem....Need Help Urgently!!!

    Hi,

My monitor is starting to just turn off for no reason...pops up 'no input signal' and switches off yet the hard drive is still running, and can hear sounds, last time this happened...few months back the motherboard actually blew, could this be the same problem, the motherboard? Or have i set the monitors frequency too high?

    I have this monitor:
    http://www.digimate.co.uk/product_ne...lcd/L-1715.htm

    and using these settings:
    Resolution: 1280 x 1024
    Refresh Rate : 75 Hertz
Colour Quality : Highest (32 Bit)

    Anybody got any ideas?

    Thanks!

Turn off any power savin schemes (ie hibernation) and see what happens. Can you borrow another monitor to ee what happens? If you put a location in your profile somebody might be able to bring one around.

I don't have any power schemes currently on, it's on 'always on' Yes i tryed it with another screen, a CRT with no difficulties but this problem is strange, seems to go away for a few weeks, then comes back, hasn't occured since last night, but happened 5 times last night and twice the night before! ! Should i lower any settings, or are these alright and it's another problem?
