Socket A Heatsink Removal

Anyone know of an easy way to remove a Socket A heatsink?

I've tried pressing down with a screw driver and (when I don't slip and cut myself) the metal bar does actually move down but I then need to somehow move it across so as to unclip it.

Any ideas??

that was always teh downside of SoA, the heatsinks are a pain in the ass. anyway glad to see you got it sorted.
