    Dell Inspiron Hard Drive

Anyone know if I can get hold of a hard drive for a Dell lap top, a Inspiron 4100? My mate has one and it freezes at desk top and sometimes (not often) displayes the error message for nvidia geforce driver being "cought in an infinate loop" then blue screens. A new bios and installation of windows did not fix the problem. I thought maybe a new hard drive would fix it and I can't get to the point of re installing graphics drivers, even in safe mode.

Have you run the Dell Diag CD on it? Boot off the CD and run a full set of diags. If you don't have the CD go HERE to download. It MIGHT be your hard drive but it's as likely from what you say to be a shot motherboard or stuffed memory, or even a shot graphics card. If you DO need a new hard drive, you could swap the hard disk for any of the 2.5" IDE drives, like THIS as long as you don't mind getting grubby with a Phillips head screwdriver.
