Might be worth registering at CD Freaks or CDR Labs and asking there TBH. The problem seems to be that it's taking exception to the position of your layer break, but how to solve it I don't know. Is it possible to update your copy of Nero to a later one?

Already updated it, didn't have any effect. Thanks though!

Nero doesn't give me the option to. That was one of the things I was going to try...

try updating to the pioneer dvr-110D - never had any problems with any dvd media. accepts most things. maybe a bit drastic but nothing more frustrating than getting errors.

That's a little drastic, i wouldn't replace my drive because it wouldn't burn DVD-DL discs, realistically NEC should take it back if it doesn't fulfill it's advertised feature set.

Media plays a big part though, saying that, there's no such thing as cheap Dual Layer media on the market right now.
