Getting Deleted data back off my harddrive¬!

To cut a very long story short,Lastnight i formatted my pc backing up all the work i needed on to my sisters computer,Then later that evening i put it all back on my pc and deleled the data from my sisters pc.But this morning my pc went all funny so i had to format again,Losing all my data from my pc i had before,But i seem to remember something on the news lastyear about some kind of software that can find deleted data on ur harddrive from years ago?

i've used handy recovery in the past when i deleted all my parents emails :>

its entirely free, although i'm not sure how it will handle a formatted drive
