    Installation nightmare

I'm having a real problem trying to install Vista. During installation, the laptop reboots (as it's meant to) but the installation process starts over.
I've got a single hard drive, with 2 partitions. One partition has Media Center edition, and the other partition is free (where I keep trying to install vista). In BIOS, I've made my dvd drive as the only bootable device. When it reboots, it says "press any key to boot from cd". If I do this, it restarts the installation from the beginning. If I dont press anything, then the screen eventually goes to a screen which asks me too choose an OS to boot (MCE or Vista).

I burnt the Vista Image file with Alcohol 120%.

Why not remove the cd from the DVD drive?

You've not really said what your problem is.
Why dont you select Vista at the boot menu ? - if somthing goes wrong after this point, what is it ?

The problem is that the installation never completes. After it reboots, the installation starts from scratch.

On reboot try setting it to boot from your hard drive rather than the CD/DVD drive.
