    Wireless Internet Problem

Hi all, i'm having a bit of trouble with my wireless internet.
Whenever my pc connects to the router on the other pc, it disconnects within about 2 seconds.
My router is made by Netgear, and so is my USB Wireless adapter.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
I know I haven't given much information, but i really don't know what else i can give you :S
    Thanks all.

how far apart the the router and wireless pc that gets disconnected?

    how thick are the walls?

Also what do you mean by the "router on the other pc"?

Well, it's nothing to do with the range between the pc, and the router, because it's been working before. It must be a problem with the wireless program on the pc withthe wireless adapter?
When i said the router on the other pc, i meant the other pc downstairs is connected to the router, if you know what i mean....
