    Trouble with sound

    Hey There,

I've been having some major problem with my sound on my d810 laptop. After any length of time between 10 secs and a few minutes the speakers/headphones either the left, right or both stop playing. This happen on both the internal sound card through either speakers or headphones and through the USB hercules muse thing that i picked up up on either speakers or headphones so i can only assuem it's some kind of windows problem.

I've tried a repair, and i've tried reinstalling all the auido codecs that i have installed but nothign has worked.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Are you sure you have the correct drivers installed? I've had machines which played audio back at the wrong speed due to the wrong drivers (for the same chipset family though, so they worked). Have you reinstalled recently?

I did a re-install and it solved the problem. I think it was perhaps windows corruption during the previous install becuase i had only installed a couple of days before.
