Pc has started crashing very regularly.

My computer has been in its current hardware state for about a year. In the past moneths it has started to crash now and again. I assumed this was because of many months at a high voltage and that i needed ot decrease my overclock. I never got round to that and now my pc is crashign very very often. I can usually only make it a few minutes, 10 at most.

I have put everything back to clock settings and i dont believe its a processor or ram fault and nothign is overheating. I have tried my drives on another ide channel with no luck.

Ive tried using the windows disk to repair or even install windows on the second disk however itm claims no hard drives can be found. I havent made any bios changes for ages either (other than the underclocking).

Any suggestions? Checkdisk/Scandisk hasnt helped either.

At this kind of point I usually back up all important data format the drive and reinstall xp.

Remember if use are using sata disk you need to have a floppy with drivers and press f6 at correct time to install them as xp does not have sata drivers on disk.
