    video images

    Hi,
I used to be able to watch video content on my computer. Either using Power DVD or WMP. When I now try to watch DVD's or downloaded videos I can hear the sound track but I cant see the image. I dont know how this has happened. I have installed various codecs packs uninstalled PowerDVD & reinstalled but I still can't see the images. I can play DVD discs OK using WMP but not see any downloaded video images. Any advice on getting the videos to work would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Martin

Codec packs are evil, they usually have conflicting codecs and the like. Try playing it with VLC if that works then its more than likely a codec problem. Use something like G-spot to find out what codec the video uses.
