If it wont run at the given speed at a given voltage : its faulty and you can send it back.
And provided its not faulty, i dont know what your worrying about

So are you saying that it will run at 2,3,3,6 even tho my mobo apparently only likes up to 2.5 voltage ?

Does it say it will run 2,3,3,6 @ 2.5V ?
If it requires a higher default voltage, then no, it might not work. If its rated at that, then it should.

No, that's just it, i don't know what voltage this ram runs at, no where seem to list it's required voltage level. What i was saying was that in the User Reviews on this site i found. There are some people saying that when you install this ram, it doesn't always run at the advertised timings of 2,3,3,6 straight off, for some people, they had to adjust the voltage level (apparently to 2.75v) to then be able to manually change the timings them selves to the advertised levels (2,3,3,6)
otherwise the ram apparently defaults to more conservative timings of 3,3,3,6.

Apparently it might, and i quote, "set the memory to 3-3-3-8 according to the values stored in the SPD" Which is obviously not 2,3,3,6 as advertised. I got the above quote from the first post in the list of User Reviews on this site. You should also take a look at the 7th post down the list, the one entitled "Good Memory From a Brand Company" thats where the 2.75v stuff is explained in more detail.

Thats why i was asking if it would run on my mobo, which as far as i understand goes up to 2.5v, i don't know if my bios will allow me to change it. But even if it did, the mobo manual says the ram slots are for 2.5v ddr dimm ram. Is it possible that, what it says in the manual isn't that important, and that the mobo will just automatically give the ram how ever much voltage it needs ?

Does anyone know what voltage level 2,4,4,6 timings need in Corsair XMS3200 (TWINX2048-3200C2PT) ram ?

    Spec sheets are your friend
    http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair...048-3200c2.pdf

The test system uses 2.75v, so it looks like that’s what its rated at
It might work at less, but i doubt they will guarantee it
