    DVD-RW help

    Hey all

    right then

    i wanted to watch WOTW just now

    i put this disc in-noticed it said "DVD protected"

    booted it out

    placedin Futurama-all it does now is when i pla ya dvd movie- the sound stutters and the picture freezes...

    is there anything i can do...

    tbh i wanna kick the cheif exec of Paramount pictures i nthe balls... but i guess i'll ebat the crap outta the dvd case n pretend it's him....

    I assume this is on your PC and not a standalone DVD player...
    Did it give you the "DVD Protected" on screen or is that on the box?
    Almost sounds like it has installed its own drivers / filters or something tbh...

    sounds like a DRM issue, is it a retail DVD?

    yeh this is my dvd-rw on my pc

    yes its the retail version of War of The Worlds....

    it shows the Logo "These DVDS are copy protected on the back of the box- i reckon it should be made bigger tbh...

    my dvd-rw drive is a Sony DVDRW DW-D23A

    Would it help if i did a reinstall of everything? -i was planning to do this at the weekend due to XP being dodgy an such...

    Plus i havent done a reinstall for about 9 months now...

    hmmm this is Ultra weird....

    it's workin perfectly now....

    all i've done is switched my pc off last night...
