Hey,
I've got a problem with my SATA harddrive and Windows MCE. I've installed all the drivers, but MCE can't see the drive. If I install the ULi Raid utility though, the drive is listed in there. How can I get it to show in My Computer?
My spec is:
Opty 146
Asrock DualSata939
200gb WD SATA HDD

On your desktop, right-click "My Computer". Click "Manage". In the left pane click "disk management". In the bottom right pane you'll see all the disks attached to your system. One of these will be your SATA drive. It probably doesn't have a drive letter associated with it. Right click on it and click "change drive letter and paths". Choose a drive letter. Away you go.
Just wondering, is it a new drive? if so it may not be formatted. If it isn't you'll need to - can do it in disk management (same place nichomach suggested), but you will need to format it (right click, its one of the options)
The drive isnt a new one, as I've used it in Win2k before. It's my storage drive. Its not in Disk Management either. The disk shows up fine in Windows 2000, but just not in MCE.
Are there drivers that you need to install in MCE?
