    laptop batteries

    looking for a new battery for my 3 year old packard bell easynote e5146, ive found a couple of places selling them for around £130 a pop, is the the usual price?

    could anybody recomend and good website that have parts for laptops as i will propably want some other parts, for example some more ram!

    any help would be great thanks guys!

    not sure about packard bell batteries, but in compasrison to dell & the like batteries thats quite expensive - batteries for the dells @ work were going for 20-30 on ebay, so have you tried there?

    I think it is a little high, but quality batteries are expensive, especially for what I guess is a fairly uncommon model. I'd be careful on eBay since they can send you a used or a counterfit battery. Just my 2 cents though.

    yeh i tried ebay but like you said its not a very common models so no 1 has any on ebay and couldnt find many online retails that sell them!

    how can you get a "counterfeit" battery.....

    jees, the batteries for my novatech only cost £70

    It's possible UltraMagnus. Another thing is that Li batteries seem to have a set lifetime, whether they're used or not, so you could get one off ebay, that's never been used, yet it still as dead as your original :S
