Perhaps this should have been posted in Hexus.help? Also, you've given NO details of your system - motherboard, memory, graphics. More info would be useful.

If it's an Award BIOS, the one long two short could indicate a wonked graphics adapter. Remove and reseat the card, and if there's any auxiliary power connectors required, make sure you've hooked them up too. The repeating high pitched beep may be a CPU overheat, which could be caused by a CPU fan fail or something like that.

BIOS beeps are error codes but the guys are right - we need full system details to help realy - what make, model, memory, graphics card etc...

If you have only swapped processor and nothing else then there could be something else dislodged - try reseating the memory, graphics card and power connectors. Do you know the duron is working? Also check the duron hasnt had its core crushed when putting the heatsink on.

Lol sorry if it's to much hastle.
Those beeps are ridiculous, are you sure the processor is seated correctly in the ZIF socket? Try re-seating it even if you think it's in properly.

OK I did it... I downloaded it :>
ok if you listen carefully...prior to the silly beeping it has 1 long 2 short
that means its a Graphics issue

To be honest, the other beeping could be anything.... mine does that if you hold down a key on the keyboard for too long during boot up but I would concentrate on the Graphics initially

can you test with another card?
