    Nod32.

There's a very good support forum if you need it at http://www.wilderssecurity.com/

I never buy software in the EU anymore. There's always a way around the vat.

They just didn't review NOD32 as part of the roundup. From what I can remember, McAfee isn't that bad in terms of detection rates - just a huge resource hog and slow.

good timing on the thread. I need to replace McAfee as my sub is up in a few days.

Any recomendations for a firewall as well? using XPs built in, but would like another. Not a fan of Zone alarm either.

I use Kaspersky, it's great. Highly recommended, picked up stuff AVG wouldn't find.

Good Choice on the AV front - I've just bought it after a 30day trial.

@Funkstar - Not sure really, but is BlackIce still around?

    Another vote for AVG.

Have been using it for years, installed it on every machine I have built (100's), has never let me down. If fact my machine at work was recently had a virus, we don't have IT support on site, so our tech guys always have do stuff remotely. Anyways I was watching what the were up to and to my surprise AVG free was install and run to remove the virus.

Now, I have been thinking of saying something about this, our office machines all use Trend Micro Offices Scan. So I assume the company pays Trend for this software, poor old AVG just clears up the mess Offices Scan cant deal with. Doesn't seam fair to me, unfortunately I have no influence on the software in use.
