    Bug in my 2405!!!!

    hi guys, got a Dell 2405FPW with 27 months warrenty, in perfect condition, just been away for an opperation my leg for the last couple of days and they seems to be a black mark under the screen, it never had any deal pixels or anythgin and doesnt look like dead pixels. but it does look like one of them anoying lil bugs u get in summer, the long black thin ones a couple of mm long that u always find on ur arm. what should i do!?!?!

    Would be easier if you post a picture.

    Try turn up the brightness and see if the black mark also got brighter. A bit brighter suggest the backlight might be gone, a lot brighter suggest an area of bad pixel/physical damage to the screen.

    If the spot moves then it suggest a bug went in...

    If it's still alive you can usually coax them out by putting a bright light near the cover where it went in, in a dark room.

    If it's dead, try hoovering the little blighter out.

    im pretty sure its moved since i last sawp it, ill give it a few weeks to see if it comes out, if not u recon i cud sort it out on my warrenty? surly it shouldnt be able tog et int here.

    it will be dead in a matter of hours so weeks isnt relevant, if it is a bug then try the hoover it, there was another thread bout this here. they wont let you return it if its a bug lol

    Oh contraire, a bumble bee can't see red, so if one were to place a bright red lightbulb near the monitor, it would have no effect. Also, different bugs are attracted to different things, so you never know.

    Has nobody with these monitors thought of putting those dust protectors over the ventilation holes, or would that just obstruct it from cooling?

    lol, what is it with bugs an pcs, i cuaght a moth yesterday trying to ****ing get in my pc so i let in in and left it heard the noise like a fan hit a cable opened up and it went into my 120 mm fan that spins so fast it can cut you, and it was mashed about the case moth blood muahahaha i loved it, next stop drop a hornet in there

    lol. ive seen a few threads on differnt forums of ppl gettign their monitors with bug in replaced for new models. guna give it a try.
